Because the Education Foundation invests in continuous training and opportunities for growth, schools are able to foster a more dynamic, effective, and motivated teaching workforce.
NBCT Support and Conference:
National Board Certification is the highest and most respected certification available to teachers. Research shows that National Board Certified Teachers see higher achievement in their classrooms. The Foundation provides mentor support for teachers who are working toward certification. We also provide a conference exclusively for our NBCT Certified Teacher each year.
Administrator Meetings:
We never, ever stop learning! Each month our Central Office Staff, Principals and Assistant Principals meet for professional and leadership development as a continuing education opportunity for leadership. Each individual is then able to more effectively lead their own groups, teams, schools, and communities.
New Teacher Orientation:
Each Summer, we welcome a new group of educators to the Shelby County family! We are pleased to help make sure that each one of our new employees is prepared for their classroom journey and the Shelby Way!
